Linden Historic Bed & Breakfast, circa 1790, is one of the most pristine historic Antebellum homes in the south. Linden is part of the Select Registry collection which promises outstanding accommodations, and a one of a kind experience. The house is situated in a park-like seven-acre setting and is furnished with American Federal style antiques. The front door is known to be replicated in Scarlett’s home, Tara, in Gone with the Wind.
Linden Cottage is located directly behind Linden Historic Bed & Breakfast with access to the lawn and property as if you were staying with us in our antebellum home. Providing lodging accommodations for friends or family traveling together, our vacation rental is a charming 3-bedroom (1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twins with trundles) 2-bath home on a large lot with a beautiful enclosed brick patio, complete with outdoor furniture. Located on a quiet and beautiful street bordering the grounds of Linden, the Cottage is less than a 5-minute drive to the heart of downtown Natchez, Mississippi.
We have recently completed an extensive renovation of the entire interior of the Cottage. Every room has been painstakingly refurbished with furniture, paint, decorative arts, and bedding along with the fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. There is a lovely breakfast area and a formal dining room for your dining pleasure. Because there is a full kitchen and 2 dining areas, breakfast is not included in the fee. Five large flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer combo, a two-car garage for your vehicles and the security system make the Cottage the perfect retreat in Natchez for a family or group. Historic charm with modern amenities!
Each morning while staying at Linden, guests enjoy a full southern breakfast served in the formal dining room. After breakfast, guests are given a tour by the owner, Jeanette Feltus, as she takes you back in history telling you about the home, the furniture, and the seven generations of the Connor family who have resided at Linden since 1849. If you believe in ghosts, then you may want to book Celice’s room as you never know if one of the Connors might come visit you. You will arrive as guests, but leave as family!
