The Galleries

As a Greek Revival Mansion, Ravena boasts not one but four fully appointed galleries for your relaxation and pleasure!  These galleries or porches/balconies, span the front and back of the property, both second and third floors.  They are an excellent place to enjoy a cup of morning coffee, relax any time of day with a book, or just sit in a rocker or porch swing and enjoy the bird song and soft, perfumed breezes of Natchez.

Breakfast

Our breakfasts can only be described as homemade comfort foods served in lavish splendor among period piece antiques in a formal, 19th Century Dining Room.  The doors will open each morning at 8:30 to the rich aroma of the Southern and Southwestern favorites.  Relax and enjoy a beautiful dining experience before starting your day exploring the timeless wonders of Natchez!

The Roane Suite

Our Roane Suite on the second floor is a study in luxury and elegance.  From the soft pink color pallet, to the very spacious lay-out, featuring a king-sized bed and comfortable sitting area, this space imbues genteel charm.  Enjoy sitting with your feet up before the working, gas fireplace, replete with original fireplace mantel and even the original “servants bell pull”.

The antique armoire provides space for folding or hanging clothes.

The beautiful marble bathroom includes a shower, bathtub, and even heated floors.

This room boasts some of the oldest and most exquisite period piece antiques found throughout the house, such as the 17th-century Italian side tables beside the bed and 18th-century botanical paintings.

The Zuleika Suite

Our Zuleika Suite, located on the second floor, features a queen-like-sized half tester period-piece bed, along with a second, twin-sized antique bed. This is an ideal space for a family with a child aged 12 or older, or a group of friends on a girl’s trip who would like to share a room.

The full bathroom is period-style and absolutely stunning, boasting natural light and a luxurious bathtub. It’s the perfect place to relax and pamper yourself in a spa-like atmosphere. However, please note that there is no stand-up shower available in this room. Instead, there is a shower head attachment on the antique-style bath for washing your hair or rinsing the tub.

This spacious room is furnished with all period-piece antiques, a roomy closet, and a settee for lounging, reading, or enjoying a cup of coffee.

The Harris Suite

The Harris Suite on the third floor is a spacious studio apartment-style area that accommodates a full king-sized bedroom set, as well as a complete living room with a 75-inch television.

Its raised ceilings reveal 19th-century hardwood beams with original mortise and tendon support. This provides a glimpse of the remarkable architecture and structure of this 1836 masterpiece. The rough-hewn beams exposed in this space inspired Mary Beth & Carl to decorate it with a nod to their Texas roots.  The modern farmhouse vibe adds a touch of luxury and comfort, allowing you to feel right at home in this unique space.

The Harris Suite also has access to a large, full bathroom from the hallway landing. The bathroom is light and airy, featuring both a tub and a shower, large vanity area, and  separate room for the toilet and linen closet.

The Caroline Suite

The Caroline Suite, located on the third floor, is a spacious queen bedroom with antique furnishings from the couple’s own family. The room is comfortable and well-furnished, with a beautiful view of the grounds.

Like the Harris Suite, this room features the extraordinary 19th-century architecture through exposed rough-hewn beams. The vaulted ceiling lends an airy and expanded aspect to the space.  The room also features a combination ceiling fan and overhead light.

It shares a full bathroom with the Harris Suite, making the third floor ideal for a family or group that need more space.  The Caroline Room will be made available for rental , individually, only when the Harris Room is not reserved by others (see calendar availability on our website).
